Another one of those “jobs” I give to myself to keep myself to keep me sharp in between real jobs with the hope of selling some of the pictures to the photo libraries I contribute to.

So I approached my friend Katrine, who works as Nature Advisor and she is someone who really knows what can and can’t be eaten. I asked her to be my guide and to see if she would be my model for this food foraging idea. Thankfully she agreed and she came up with some great ideas. She really did forage for some great produce.
The yellow/orange berries in the pictures are Sea Hawthorn and they are a really popular berry to pick here in Denmark in late autumn and early winter.
The whole shoot was great to do spread over 2 sessions. Photography style wise I wanted to keep it simple, no flash just a nice and natural relaxed style. My favourite from the series is the image on the header of the page I just love flare! I liked this spot and I love shooting into the light and the autumnal sun did the rest. Nikon D800 and Nikkor 24-70mm F2.8. 5k worth of kit not sure if Nikon would approve but I like the flare! It was difficult to focus and in the series, there were quite a few misses but a couple of keepers both horizontal and vertical.
