It was another case of; “What happened when I was out on my bike” stories. An escaped bull on the run along the roadside.
I had managed to get a few good late autumn rides in accumulating a couple of hundred km’s and was

In 2014 I started using the Strava Cycling app on my iPhone which is a really interesting bit of kit and it can get quite competitive with fellow riders wanting to beat each other on segments. I struggle to beat most of them, the only hope I have of beating some of them would be to take it out for a spin in my car!
Anyway I digress whilst struggling over the Alps of Denmark I came across this large, mature bull who had somehow escaped from his field. Now my grandfather was a farmer I have fond memories of helping him round up his cattle and I love cows as a result, but bulls are a little bit different and need more respect. And an escaped bull on the run should be approached with great care! I couldn’t see where he had escaped from but it was quite dangerous for the bull, traffic, pedestrians and cyclists, he seemed very calm and obviously someone else had called a local farmer because a few minutes later a farmer came along with a tractor and trailer and asked me for some help to usher him into it and return it to his field. Job done! Ruining my Strava stats but an eventful ride.
